Tutoring to keep kids in school
SEPHEO, Lesotho: Sepheo started their work 9 year ago with children who were living on the street away from their families and with no chance of reengaging with education. For children that are able to engage with formal schooling but need additional support to reduce the risk of dropping out, Sepheo provides an afternoon tutoring program designed to increase attachment with their caregiver, improve their reading level and increase their emotional wellbeing.
Through case work with their family and providing an afternoon program this tutoring program increases their reach and reduces the risk of these children dropping out of school. $535 can fund two children through the tutoring program for a period of 3-6 months depending on the needs of the child.
This project is tax-deductible.
