Care packages for survivors of human trafficking Thailand
A21, THAILAND: When survivors of human trafficking are first recovered from exploitation, they often come into our care with nothing other than what they are wearing. Providing them with a thoughtfully curated care package is a crucial first step towards restoration. These packages include essentials like clothing, toiletries (such as toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, and towels), and hygiene products that offer immediate relief and comfort. Additionally, practical items such as non-perishable food items, snacks, and laundry detergent help meet their immediate needs, ensuring they have basic sustenance and the means to care for themselves in those early days of freedom.
Beyond these essentials, the care packages often contain small comforts that can make a big difference in their emotional recovery. Items like a soft blanket, stationery for journalling their thoughts and colouring books to encourage relaxation, can provide a therapeutic outlet as they begin to heal. Each care package not only provides physical necessities but also serves as a beacon of hope, reminding survivors that they are valued and deserving of a safe and dignified future.
$100 will cover the cost of a care package for one survivor, but any donation will help towards helping survivors of trafficking to begin their road to healing.
The total cost of this project is $16,500. All Donations are Tax Deductible.
