Mental Health Support
BETTER MENTAL HEALTH, VIETNAM: ACCI Field Workers, Rhianon and Michael Walls have a vision for “better mental health” in Vietnam.
In Vietnam, it is particularly stigmatizing and challenging to face the social consequences of needing psychological help. As a result, people with a mental illness have an added burden in their everyday lives beyond the actual symptoms themselves. Suicide amongst 18 – 39 year olds is increasing which means small children are losing their parents and families are devastated.
“Becoming an Emotional First Aider” is a pioneering course meeting the needs in the community for mental health awareness and literacy. Two pilot courses were run in late 2022.
$11,000 will help cover the costs of four of this course to be run. Donations are Tax Deductible.
