Leadership Training & Church Planting

PORCHERON, PHILIPPINES: Phillip is working alongside the local AOG church to establish strong, thriving, and enduring churches. Having a holistic approach to leadership training, the curriculum being developed includes units that facilitate the development of sustainable livelihoods; enhance skills for managing and balancing ministry & family responsibilities (particularly management of the family budget in order to break out of the constant debt cycle typical of many Filipino families).

Phil will be assisting in the development of training modules, and along with others with specific expertise, will deliver training to the local leaders that are being raised up for ministry. In addition to theological subjects, other training to be delivered will include areas of financial management for undertaking micro-business start-ups, expansion of small business ventures, technical skills and other job skills training.

God has heard the cry of the people in the Samar region. The ‘Samar Project’ will be strategic in establishing vibrant and sustainable churches throughout this region of the Philippines.
